Q: Why would I want to edit the pages my links are on?
A: There are many answers to this. The most important one would be to add quality content to the page your link is on, therefore adding value to your link.
Another excellent reason is that you want to give back to an internet that has given you so much. If you have good knowlegde of a particular subject, share it with the rest of us. These pages do get read and indexed.

Q: Why is your link directory better than the rest of them?
A: Our links will carry more value than links from any other directory because of excellent content that fills our site.
We allow you, the user, to edit the "on the page" text so that each page has it's own unique static information. We also display current and random rss feeds so that spiders and bots have fresh food awaiting them on every visit.
Looking past the SEO side, take a look around at other directories. After that, take look at ours and ask yourself which directory you would rather be listed at? We attempt to help the customer (web surfer) by giving them information about a subject and show them related pictures to draw their interest. Our reason for being here is not just provide you another link to your web site, and quite frankly, it shows.

Q: How do I add a link to your directory?
A: Navigate to the most appropriate category and click the "Sumbit a link to ________" button at the top-left hand side of the page. Replace the ________ with the page name of your category.
Some categories will not allow you to submit links, this is intentional as most people who sumbit there are not submitting to the most appropriate category. You may still submit a subcategory of this section. If the most appropriate section does not exist, create it.

Q: How do I edit how my listing appears on ErectADirectory?
A: Use our search feature and find your web site. Click edit at the end of your description once your web site has been found. After doing this, you are given 2 options (email or FTP) to verify your identity.
After our verification process, changing your link's information is easy. Your listing will be shown as it exists now, to change it just highlight and type over it. Once you are finished you can click "submit" and save your changes.

Q: What do you consider content spam?
A: There are no fine lines or shades of gray involved. If you mention anything specific about any company, business or web site it is considered content spam. Reverting the page to a previous state or erasing it takes our administrators all of 5 seconds and we get notified upon each edit
You can discuss a product, service or other theme as long as it closely relates to the page it is on. If you want to start a page specifically for "Mercedes 300D", that's cool just don't talk about the 300D in general automotives, talk about Mercedes, Audi & Honda there.
We do strongly encourage you to write about anything you have knowledge of. Please add to or organize the content if the category already exists. Do not erase everything that existed and start over.
